German death metal act LIFELESS signs with Ibex Moon

Germany’s LIFELESS have inked a deal with Ibex Moon Records for the release of the band’s sophomore effort and follow up to the devastating Beyond the Threshold of Death. With disdain for flavor-of-the-month “extreme” acts and mix-and-match new school DM, LIFELESS take with the utmost seriousness the creation of their traditional death metal, a style that is influenced by the legends of both the Stockholm and Tampa scenes.

Vocalist/guitarist Marc Niederhagemann had this to say about the signing to one of the world’s premier traditional death metal labels:

“The reason for us signing with Ibex Moon Records is the fact that it is an up and coming label
and we are an up and coming band. The match is perfect for both sides and we want to give it our best. Further, John McEntee gave a very fair offer for a band in our position. We are glad to get this chance and looking forward for to continuing this good working relationship.”

The as yet untitled new album will be released in early 2010. There are also plans for a worldwide re-release of Beyond the Threshold of Death through Ibex Moon Records.
