Polish black metal force HEGEROTH has revealed the third single, “The Nails”, taken from their forthcoming sixth studio album “Soaked in Rot”, set for release on March 25, 2026.
Founded in 2010 in Upper Silesia, Poland, Hegeroth has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of black metal while remaining rooted in the genre’s raw intensity. Over the years, the band’s sound has evolved from early symphonic and melodic black metal foundations into more complex, multi-layered compositions combining melody, disharmony, aggression, and relentless speed.
Despite these transformations, the band has consistently avoided following the traditional paths of black metal, instead pursuing its own uncompromising artistic direction. Their music embraces a wide spectrum of expression while maintaining what the band calls “100% metal in metal.”
Lyrically, Hegeroth tackles themes of religious oppression, dogmatism, and the dangers of rigid, one-dimensional thinking, often mocking the mental stagnation created by imposed ideological systems.
The upcoming album “Soaked in Rot” was recorded, mixed and mastered by Bene at HHSoundLab Studios. The cover artwork and full visual layout were created by renowned artist Maciej Kamuda, known for his work with bands such as Blut Aus Nord, Nunslaughter, and Master.
The album will be released as an independent release in digital format and jewelcase CD, with pre-orders currently available via Bandcamp.
Commenting on the new single, the band states:
“If you’re not afraid of calculations exceeding 30, or you’re not familiar with the term Triclavianism, we warmly invite you to check out our latest single, The Nails.”
