BRUTAL ASSAULT 2027 – 26 new names in the line-up

Czech festival BRUTAL ASSAULT will celebrate 30 years of its existence in 2027, so the organisers keep announcing new bands that will play on this special edition. This time we got 26 new names and as usual they represent various subgenres of our favourite music.

KNOCKED LOOSE was announced as one of the main acts on the festival. This time we also got a really big dose of extreme bands, so among many they are CARNIFEX, FULCI, SIX FEET UNDER, GORGASM, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, SCHIZOPHRENIA and THE ZENITH PASSAGE. As usual, the festival guarantees quite large batch of Hardcore bands and the genres close to that, so new additions include the veterans from AGNOSTIC FRONT as well as GET THE SHOT, GORILLA BISCUITS, HUMANITY’S LAST BREATH, THE ACACIA STRAIN, VOLUMES and WHISPERS.

2025 edition hosted a project called BLOOD FIRE DEATH, so if you like that it will reappear this year too, but under the name A TRIBUTE TO QUORTHON AND BATHORY. It will feature Grutle from ENSLAVED and Erik from WATAIN carrying vocal duties and Ivar (ENSLAVED) and Blasphemer (AURA NOIR, VLTIMAS) on guitars. Bass will be shared by Apollyon (AURA NOIR) and original BATHORY member Frederick Melander. The line-up completes the former EMPEROR drummer Bard “Faust” Eithun. The Black Metal maniacs will definitely be delighted to see ARCTURUS who announced a special set devoted to their debut album called “Aspera Heims Symfonia”. The list of new bands as well as full line-up is below.

The festival takes place on the grounds of Josefov Fortress in the city called Jaromer. It starts with the warm-up day on 3rd August and will last the next full four days on 4 stages. Tickets for all days (including warm-up day) cost 229 Euro.

Apart from the tent area, there will also be options to sleep in various hotels or dormitories in the neighbouring cities. The price for that option also includes the possibility of free transportation to the event (1x daily back and forth) and entrance to the natural stand situated on the walls of the fortress which gives a great view on both main stages.
