FINALSELF Releases Debut Album “Liturgy of the Final Self”

Polish death metal ensemble FINALSELF from Tarnów has officially released its debut album, “Liturgy of the Final Self”. The album premiered on June 8, 2026 via No Clean Singing and is now available on CD in a standard jewel case format as well as through the band’s Bandcamp page.

The music and lyrics were written by Eveq, who recorded all guitar parts for the album. Metal fans may recognize him from his work with bands such as Ingenium, Breath the Void, and Eutanor.

Joining him on the recording are two well-known figures from the Polish extreme metal underground:

ataman Tolovy (Turin Turambar, Genius Ultor, Mrome, Stillborn) – vocals
Krzysztof Klingbein (Totenmesse, Vader, Belphegor) – drums

Stylistically, FINALSELF draws inspiration from the classic era of death metal, particularly the early technical death metal movement before the genre became dominated by pure technical showmanship. The band’s sound combines intricate songwriting with relentless aggression, brutality, and intensity.

Lyrically, “Liturgy of the Final Self” is a conceptual journey exploring the ultimate stages of human evolution and transcendence toward godhood.
