NEOLITH – “Igne Natura Renovabitur Integra” returns in new reissue via Deformeathing Production

NEOLITH – “Igne Natura Renovabitur Integra”

Some albums age gracefully. Others become legendary. “Igne Natura Renovabitur Integra”, the debut full-length from NEOLITH, does both.

Originally released in 1998 by Dogma Records, the album marked the culmination of the band’s early era and a defining statement of their primordial sound — dense, blasphemous death/doom metal steeped in nihilism, metaphysical unease, and an atmosphere of pure decadence.

While the band would later evolve toward a more brutal and technical direction, this record remains the blackened core of NEOLITH’s identity: raw, immersive, symbolic, and uncompromising.

The album was recorded between 1997 and 1998 at Manek Studio in Sanok, engineered by Arek “Malta” Malczewski, known for his work with Behemoth and Decapitated. Mastering duties were handled by Grzegorz Piwkowski at High End Studio.

Entering the studio with a clear artistic vision, the band crafted a conceptual work where music and lyrics intertwine into a single nihilistic narrative. Upon its original release, the album received strong acclaim from both critics and the underground metal community. A wave of interviews, international press coverage, and live performances — including the band’s first shows abroad — helped cement its reputation within the extreme metal scene.

Nearly three decades later, “Igne Natura Renovabitur Integra” still sounds strikingly fresh. Its suffocating atmosphere remains intact, while its lyrical themes feel eerily timeless, untouched by the erosion of years. It stands not only as a document of an era, but as a work that transcends it.

This new reissue, prepared by Deformeathing Production, pays tribute to one of the cornerstones of the Polish underground extreme metal scene.

The release features completely new artwork by Total Death Art and has been newly mastered by Haldor Grunberg at Satanic Audio, giving the album renewed sonic depth while preserving its original dark spirit.

This is a return to the time when Polish metal was forged in the shadows — far from the spotlight, driven by conviction, atmosphere, and uncompromising authenticity.

For those who have been there since the beginning, it is a journey back to the mid-90s underground, when the scene carried its own weight, aura, and temperature. For new listeners, it opens a gateway into the legacy of one of Poland’s most respected extreme metal acts.
