‘Underground Metal Compilation Vol.1’ is described by AcidVictim stuff as an album, with tracks covering all facets of the metal world. The songs rage from death metal, black, industrial, progressive rock and metal, to hardcore. At myspace, AcidVictim ‘spin doctors’ are convincing, that this compilation is will not disappoint anyone. Actually, I do not share their enthusiasm.

The album starts with cool Renaissance elements and later on proves, that it is nothing more than sheer underground. The sound of the opening composition and its performance simply drag the will of listening out of the listener. There are moments when I thought that this is not a metal compilation, but some industrial crap. Most of the songs are after one fashion, which I would have understood, if it had been an album of one band. But it is not. And those musicians do their best to show, that their should not be allowed to enter the official scene. What is more, some of the songs sound as if they were recorded in a garage, or something very similar. If a studio plans to release a metal compilation, they should invite the musicians and enable them to make professional recordings. Otherwise everything sounds like this shit – once silent, the other time extremely noisy. Sorry to say it, but I did not find anything which could be played to a wider public.

Such compilations are very essential and important. But those who create them should have some ‘demarcation lines’, prepare a casting instead of taking everyone whoever appears on. And the most important fact: should record professional CDs.
