TRANSIENT could be described as one man band, but unfortunately Ed Faust does not sing and no one know if he ever will. But this does not matter, because Tom Engel is doing good, very good. The band was formed in 2002 by Edward Faust, a musician involved in many musical projects, just to mention a few: NEIL RAMBALDI, EX-ETHERIA or COME CLOSER. Throughout those two years, he was near a breakdown, because of problems with completing the material, but finally he managed to record and release it, which we should be grateful for.

This demo is very melodic and pathetic, what is a good prophecy. There is no doubt, that TRANSIENT is very close to SAVATAGE, with its sound. This similarity is clearly audible, if we listen to such albums by SAVATAGE as ‘The Wake Of Magellan’ or ‘Edge Of Thorns’. But Ed Faust is copying the ideas quite consciously and does not allow the motifs to overlap or even dominate his own ideas, which are quite original. The heavy and fleshy sound also works as a pro – everything is mixed and mastered very well, Ed’s craft is of a high level. The guitars and drums smoothly cooperate and do not interrupt one another. I want more!!

This demo fills the heart with a ray of hope, that metal scene will offer something interesting quite soon. TRANSIENT is one those bands, which will have an opportunity to enter the world wide scene. And I mean it!
