Cool Songs: On The Way; Reach

“American five piece rock band Ligion is from Cleveland but got the attention of the Grammy winner producer Greg Ladanyi in Nashville, who made their debut album come out. These guys seem to be in the alternative gothic rock line, which has become very popular lately. Though, they can still sound more rock and indie than another fashion “emo” band. When you listen to the album carefully, you can notice some 90’s rock influences, such as Stone Temple Pilots and Oasis.

The first song, “On The Way” is a good song, catchy and complex as well. Although, as the Cd keeps playing, there’s nothing new going on. The songs are kind of repetitive so that it becomes a bit boring after the fourth song “Reach”, which has a surprising guitar riff.

Yet, this is their debut album, and I believe they’re “On The Way” to rock the world.
I’ll be waiting for their second album.”
