Astral Doors hails to us from the depths of the Swedish metal scene, they bring with them a sound that is forged in steel. Of The Son And The Father, starts off with an epic metal hymn entitled “Cloudbreaker”, which has to be one of the best metal songs of this genre that I have ever heard. Cloudbreaker begins with a short burst of guitars, and then quickly moves into a much faster pace. The guitar solos on this track, are of absolutely amazing in quality in fact I doubt you will find better. Of The Son And The Father, contains 11 tracks of melodic metal inspiration, all of which will have you in complete awe by the time their done. Tracks like “Slay The Dragon” and “Night Of The Witch” just continue to reinforce the melodic beauty of the entire album. Man On The Rock brings “Of The Son And The Father” to an extravagant end with its intense guitar shredding and awe-inspiring vocals.

For all you old farts out there who love the good old days of rock n roll, Astral Doors is a new band that will bring old times to life again! If you like “Dio,” and “Black Sabbath” you will love “Of The Son And The Father”.
