METALLICA „St. Anger”

METALLICA „St. Anger” - okładka

What the HELL was the boys thinking when they recorded this piece of crap. There is nothing worse when you are a metalhead then to see a band you once thought a lot of go straight to hell and they don't even know it. This was one of the most anticipated disc's of the year so far and it is the biggest let down. Now don't get me wrong I am not totally down on this CD for it does have a few good moments. There are a few good riffs on the disc but they get into it and then thirty seconds later they drop it for some lame riff that sounds like it was pulled off a LIMP BIZKIT disc. I have most defiantly heard James and Kirk perform better guitar work even in the early days when they where growing as a band. Lars's drum work is another beast in it's self on this disc. I once thought his drum work was some of the best being played. His sound was rich and thick with plenty of multiple layers and very complex as well as heave as hell.

Well, on this disc he has shot all that to hell. His drum sound almost has a tribal sound to it. It's not as thick as it once was in fact it sounds like he is beating on trash can lids for most of the CD. There are only a couple good trax on this CD and they are SOME KIND OF MONSTER & MY WORLD. This is not a bad CD for a metal CD in general but for a band of METALLICA”s talent and ability this is a total wash out. The Production sounds like it was recorded in a basement somewhere on a small boom box with James singing into the built in mic. The band was wanting the raw rough sound and I think they got it to the point of wrecking the CD. At best this should have been a demo. You done have much time to make the Metallica name strong guys so please try again.
