ANATHEMA „A Natural Disaster”

I don't know what is your opinion about Anathema and the new music style they follow in their last albums but I think that we all have to admit that these guys know very well how to compose songs that emit many feelings to the listener and how to present us an album that is overruned by a unique atmosphere. “A Natural Disaster” is their latest gift to all of us who like music with passion. Don't expect to listen to heavy guitars or to find many heavy metal parts. This is a metal release but only for those who listen to music only with their ears and not for any other reason! Anathema now look towards the psychedelic side of Pink Floyd and the modern version of rock of Radiohead with some ambient influences too. The important thing is that “A Natural Disaster” will excite you with its magnificent atmosphere. An atmosphere that gives grief and melancholy even if we are not used to receiving that kind of feeling from the band lately. Listen to songs like “Harmonium”, “Are You There?”, “Pulled Under 2000 Metres A Second” and you will understand what I am talking about. Or listen to the enchanting instrumental “Violence” which reminds us a little bit the past of the band. Of course there is no need to mention what is the production like and if the lyrics are touching…Well done guys one more time!!!
