The Greek quartet REJECTION has been around for over 10 years and “A New Age Of Insanity” is their third material. Inspirations they point on their Facebook include SLIPKNOT, FEAR FACTORY, PANTERA, LAMB OF GOD, MESHUGGAH, MACHINE HEAD, KORN or MUDVAYNE…

So the above set of bands can already illustrate the work of REJECTION, whose music is the result of the mentioned inspirations… The lower tuning of guitars is even a standard that deepens the sound of guitars and increases their heaviness. That is especially during rhythmic guitar accents, which dynamically balance between groove-metal riffs and nu-metal beats in harmony with various drums and percussion. The industrial guitar-mathcore themes also appear episodic, which further push the whole into crushing regions. An additional a flavor of industrial-music is given by samples (but not synthesized, but created on the guitars using various effects)…

These massive guitar riffs are enriched by atmospheric melodic riffs and accenting solo licks or clean guitar inserts introducing an exciting atmosphere of a completely different intensity. Thanks to these themes, the emotions created by music extend between extremes – from aggression and rage through the dark path to calmness or melancholy.

Of course, the vocals also significantly expands this musical horizon. Different types of extreme vocals (low and high growls, sharp screams, strong shouts) are intertwined with melodic chants, melodeclamations or digitized verses of singings. And the momentary polyphonic overlap of different vocals gives a really interesting effect.

REJECTION presents modernist Metal – powerful, dynamic, diversified and full of emotions and certainly brave.
