I like very receive materials from label Electrum Production, but not only therefore that the music from this firm is contained in nice digipack, and first of all therefore that Electrum Production presents interesting bands which not necessarily belong to metal circle. Although this time – the band stands in this circle with the one leg. And where is the second leg? Well…

The themes of Progressive Metal go out on the first set. The themes are approximate thematically to TOOL – the motifs of psychedelic-melancholic bass-guitar (in style “Lateralus”) was strengthened by heavy and very impulsive phrases as well as by dynamic hits. And in large degree it also creates the aftertaste of Hard Core – the fast and very energetistic, uproarious subjects was interlaced by calmer, sung tacts. Moreover the sound of the whole sometimes was associated with Polish HUNTER (“Medeis”), and it brought closer the style patents of Thrash Metal. And therefore QUBE proposes the interesting mixture of styles of extreme music. From the one side – it is the pretty technical playing with unexpected changes of tension. And from the second side – it contains a lot of melody and of the emotional exultations colored by the darkness and the madness. However the band went further in their ingeniousness and they transplanted a bit of Funk, of Grunge and of Progressive Rock traces to the whole.

“Incubate” also contains the un-musical insertions like fragments of different dialogues or simply the sounds of nature. In this case – QUBE creates very spatial form. The sounds full of feelings hatch inside the form. However you should remember that it can be both feeling of melancholy and of loneliness but and of aggression as well as of revolt.

Though on the cover is visible the six tracks that in reality the album contains the seven pieces – the first one and the last one are “Nothing”. I think this is very good material and it is admirable… especially that this is the second album.
