That’s the kind of material I like. Fast, adequate, melodic, compact and really well composed. Simply speaking it is a music perfectly suitable for gigs, which audience, gathered on said gigs will surely enjoy. As far as I’m concerned, DISEASE ILLUSION gigs surely are a great boost of positive energy served in a death metal sauce – that’s what we like the most, hehe. I don’t think that I have to explain to anyone that names such as AT THE GATES, EDGE OF SANITY, IN FLAMES should come to your mind at instant, because they were the obvious inspiration for Italian metalheads.

There are three things I like the most in young bands: involvement in what is being done (playing), motivation which pushes into standing out in a particular way and the fact that youth sometimes helps to invent really good ideas. DISEASE ILLUSION has used at least few of them and because of that I listen to their debut EP with unfeigned pleasure. Small, but lasting for 40 minutes cd, which maybe will get them few connections and let the band release this material under wings of a record label. Let’s hope because this material is really first-class. How about a closer look at it?…

What can be expected? First of all, melodies that are really easily memorizable and root deeply in our minds, of course not right off the bat, but they don’t have to be listened many times to do so. Fast, characteristic rhytms bass/drum, huge amount of incredible riffs, few intryguing slowdowns (ok, everyone plays like this but it still turns me on hehe), strong, specific vocals, and what’s odd, a really good quality of production. Nowadays you don’t have to record in a proffesional studios to sound superb, especially when you can record guitars by yourself at home and have amazing sound. Drums as usual, with triggers in the studio – these which were put on Gaio drums (quite nice sounding sample) sound so amazing. The whole mix of this EP is a piece of great work and I really hope everyone is delighted because of it, hehe.
