Cool songs: unspoken/undone/unfulfilled, Perfect World I and II
The band was born in 1998 and still rages on. Since that time they recorded some demos in which some unofficial musicians were involved. Finally they started working upon some own material and that is how they entered the official stage in Poland. Crushed Inside is their second full-length album and
I think that the title speaks for itself. Do the musicians have some problems with themselves? They really must have been crushed inside, that they decided to release this rubbish. The album is quite powerful, starts very well, and that hoarse scream! But the fleshy growl which appears after it destroys everything. The music slows down and everything becomes very sleepy. The power is lost somewhere out there. Most of the compositions are rather dull and bore after a while (in comparison to the newest album, Rejected Burden, this one is pretty small). Many elements are repeated: the riffs used in Individual Demon and Almost Dead are very similar, not to say the same. What is more, the drummer sometimes does not manage to keep up with the pace: very audible slows in Prolog and Perfect World are a good example of that situation. And there is one particular problem with this album: though the compositions seem to be varied, they are performed in a way, which makes them sound very similar, after one fashion.
To be honest towards listeners and especially myself, I will not recommend this album, because of the problem with its compactness (or its lack). The album does not lack in power, but in some way it is transparent, without any particular character
