Cool songs: Man Is The Harvest, Cranial Works Of Art

Now that’s a kick of brainless play! When I saw the front cover of the Swedish death squad, it reminded me one crucial scene from the famous film: “Predator”. And I was not disappointed when I heard their sound for the first time. It is strictly connected with the activities, which the title alien performed on those innocent as lambs marines.

Again, to my surprise, when I heard the beginning of this CD – the special effects are taken from… yes, yes… “Predator”. Those sounds made by the alien are fantastic and create that gruesome atmosphere, which is present throughout the album because of the fact, that each song ends this way. The music is another story: it is pure powerful, supersonic fast butchery, a real grind metal, in its cleanest form. The songs (if I may call those sounds this way) sound exactly the same. Each short track actually does not differ from the previous one. Fleshy and aggressive riffs, ultra fast drums and that deep throat growl create a haunting atmosphere. “Man Is The Harvest” and “Cranial Works Of Art” differ from the rest slightly, because here, the guitar is more comprehensible and audible, and the solo is noticeable. The rest is just sheer chaos and destruction, but performed perfectly with great attention to technical details. It may sound silly, but… it sometimes draws attention. “Yield” also differs from the rest. Here, the melodic line is audible.

This is a position for maniacs who like heavy butchery with brain smashing into the radiator. Sometimes it really hurts the hearing system. Great material for desperate people who are concerning committing suicide. After listening to QUEST OF AIDANCE the choice would be obvious. In other words, there are many more interesting ways of spending free time, and many more bands playing such music, but with slight variations.
