Cool songs: The Cannibal Of Milwaukee, Shadows In Darkness, Sunday Of War

DEATH HEAVEN is another Italian proposition on the Death Metal market. Again… it is another… Italian band, reinforcing the World Of Metal. And “Techno Decomposition World” is their second demo… quite a long and uninteresting one.

Even the pathetic intro at the beginning cannot save this album from the most repeatable problem, which is the predictability and… repetitions. The music, indeed, is of high quality and the performers’ skills are very well developed. Although there is no place for some new ideas, for some freshness… this album is stone-cold. After listening to five songs, there is still the impression, that you are listening to the first song! In “The Cannibal Of Milwakee” some changes appear: the acoustic guitar intro and solo sound very good and finally liberate that death camp. It is freed from this boredom. And that fantastic solo is just what the doctor ordered! Here, it is audible, that this music can have a character. And later on… it gets only worse. The same routine. The monastery-theme in “In The Name Of God” sounds cool, but does not help a lot. The climate is lost again, and a mindless butchery begins to continue. “Shadows In Darkness” is a different composition. At the beginning, it is pretty nice… the guitar is very good. But later on, again, everything collapses. The fantastic drums save this song. They are so powerful, that sometimes I had the impression, that they’ll blow my speakers up. Cool legato in “Sunday Of War” proves that the technical skills of DEATH HEAVEN are very good. This track is very nice and has many, many changes: in style and motifs. But the whole project, is simply weak.

This album brings nothing new on the scene. It is heavy and very dead. Death can jump to your throat while you’re listening to it, so don’t even bother.
