EASTER SUNDAY – DARKSEED, SYCRONOMICA

Bavaria´s main city prepares for the homematch of DARKSEED!

The „Kultfabrik“ is quiet in the afternoon. But the scene shows a different thing when it comes to the doors open: A lot of metalheads already stood in front of the „Garage“ and waited more or less patiently in front of the door. Finally you could see metalheads wearing DARKSEED t-shirts and I felt really good in the presence of them.

Today DARKSEED had some special guests: A few Italian fans had a trip for around 700 km just to watch their idols live in concert. Respect!

It was very good to see that the „Garage“ was full while the local band SYCRONOMICA started with their set punctually. They played around 1 hour. Their misture of black and death metal didn´t fit well to the gothic metal that DARKSEED celebrate. But they could convince a lot of people in the hall.

After SYCRONOMICA made us hot, DARKSEED absolutely didn´t have any problems to get the „Garage“ in full mood. DARKSEED followers in the whole location!! That did good to see that! And from the first song („Disbeliever“) on, the audience flipped out and the spark immediately jumped back to the band. The same energy reflected to the fans and they pushed each other to the top. It was amazing to see how different the band was welcomed in the various cities they played. Although you say, it is always more difficult to play in your home town (that also feared singer Hertrich). That evening it was totally different! DARKSEED got welcomed with open arms and showed an enormous power and a bunch of lust! From song to song the six Munich guys got more loose. And also the Italians got their money´s worth (drummer Maurizio Guolo left his countrymen a few nice words in his mother tongue), as well as several guitar students of the lead guitarist Tom Gilcher, who partied in the front rows.
Astonishingly both bands could enjoy a good sound. Only the stage was a bit small. But the space was used well by both bands, too.

The bigger part of the more than 1 hour set existed of the new album „Ultimate Darkness“ that blinked by some older songs („Fly into the night“, „I deny you“ and „Forever darkness“ were interlaced very well). In the end of the regular set, both bands and the fans were sweating to their panties. But the guys might not escape the stage! You could feel: Munich in any case wanted DARKSEED live!! So the crowd wanted one more song. But the band was not prepared for that. Singer Stefan was a bit undone, but took the microphone and asked the people, what they want to hear. In time a fan shouted „Sleep, sleep sweetheart!!!!!!“. That should become the highlight of the evening by being played for the second time (!).

It took a few minutes until the wantin „We want more“-calls got calmer. DARKSEED didn´t return to the stage. But how do we say well? You should quit it, while it is best. And it was best, yes!!

…The band got a lot of good feedback from the audience. Afterwards the dancefloor got hurt to the sound of MEGAHERZ and METALLICA and in rememberance we will keep an unforgetable evening – for the band and the fans. Best DARKSEED concert ever!
