Cool songs: Forsaken And Reflected, Repulsed By Imperfection

This is a split cd between three bands that are all actually the same one person, Anthony Roark, who plays all instruments and does all vocals. HUMAN TAXIDERMY seems to be his main band and has an earlier, full length release under that name.

The cd starts with two HT tracks. A new one, “Forsaken And Reflected” and one from his first cd “Repulsed by Imperfection.” Both are good Death/Grind with a heavy groove, then blast beating some good brutal death.
The two CHRONIC AUDIO ASSAULT tracks are just short bursts of blasting grindcore like you find with pre-Barney Napalm Death. “Hydrogen 21-CM Emission From A Galaxy At Cosmological Distance” is a 16 second blast beat that is shorter than it took me to write the title here and “Spanish Fly” is just a slightly longer blast, like you might find on the “Scum” album by Napalm.
THE ANTI-HUMAN seems to start within the Black Metal boundaries with “Shrine Of The Leviathan” , but “Falling Away From Time” is an awesome heavy ass Death groove with some brutal death vocals.

It's some good heavy stuff that Anthony's putting out, but he really needs to expand the lineup to further improve his ideas and focus it in one direction. He's talented, but nobody's talented enough to go the route alone.

note: 4/10
