KREATOR, NAPALM DEATH

February is always a special time of the year for me and my best friend and assistant photographer, Donna, because our birthdays are in it and only two days apart. We always pick out a special birthday show. This year was extra special because the birthday show included NAPALM DEATH, my all time favorite band. Oh. And German Thrash legends, KREATOR. We were heading under the Hudson from Jersey to the new capital of Death Metal in NYC, B.B. King's. B.B. King's is an awesome club and it's been getting good bands and building good crowds.

The first two bands were crap. A 'screamo' band with a girl singer who said we had to save our environment. She got laughed at. This is the capital of Death. The next band I don't even remember. It was getting too close to Napalm.
Me and my friend Donna were grinning ear to ear. Happy Birthday to us!! NAPALM hit the stage with “The Silence Is Deafening” and the frenzy began!!! Napalm is a whirlwind of brutality when they hit the stage and it was no different tonight. The sweat started pouring, the pit started swirling. “instinct Of Survival”, “Unchallenged Hate”, “Instruments Of Persuasion”. Amazing!!! I was moving!! It was basically the same set they always do, but that's a good thing. “Suffer The Children”. My personal favorite, “Breed To Breath”. “World Keeps Turning” and other classics from 'Scum'. New shit from 'The Code Is Red'. It was a great Napalm crowd. This was the best time out of all the times that I've seen them!! They finished off in usual fashion with “Nazi Punks” and “Siege Of Power”. Blowing the freakin' roof off!! But, this party was only half over. KRE-A-TOR, KRE-A-TOR chants were abound and Mille and co. didn't keep us waiting long.

KREATOR hit the stage with “Enenmy Of God” and “Impossible Brutality” and man, it was brutality all right!! Followed by “Extreme Aggression”. They blew out the walls!! “Awakening Of The Gods” was amazing. Mille is amazing!! “Violent Revolution” and “Suicide Terrorist”. Hell Yeah!!!! It was pretty much the same set as the last time I saw them too, but that's a good thing also. “Phobia”, “Betrayer”… yeah, the place was nuts!! They did a rousing encore of “Flag of Hate” and “Tormentor”. I was soaked to bone. A good surfin', sweatin', stompin' good time!!!
