THY DISEASE „Cold Skin Obsession”

I will have to say I am not a huge fan of BLACK / DEATH METAL but I do have my moments and this disc is one of them. Never hearing of this band before and not knowing what I was in for kind of scared me at first but this is one of those disc's that I had to listen to more then once. All I can say is WOW. Being a fan of the musical side of CRADLE OF FILTH that is the first thing that caught my ear. Then the more aggressive side of the disc caught my ear and I heard SLAYER. Then there was the haunting sounds of the Keyboards. The band consists of Psycho (VOX / EX SCEPTIC), (GUITAR / EX SCEPTIC), PEPO (GUITAR), MARCO (BASS), PINOCHIO (DRUMS), QBA (KEYBOARDS).
This is about the most diverse disc of this type that I have ever heard. The guitar sound on this disc will just crush you with the riffs and hooks by bringing back memories of old school SLAYER but mixing in the textured and layered sounds of CRADLE OF FILTH. Along with a drum sound that would impress any death metal fan while being supported by a crushing bottom end with the bass. Qba entwines the keys with grace and finesse. The vocals was the only sticking point on the disc that I had. Sometimes Psycho wanted to sing in the style of FILTH and then at other times it was SLAYER and then at others it was A TESTAMENT kind of sound. I myself favored the TESTAMENT sound. Over all I would highly recommend this disc to anyone that is a fan of SLAYER, CRADLE OF FILTH, and TESTAMENT. This band has three discs up for grabs and they are:
