Out from the depths of the New York heavy metal scene, Life Of Agony has once again risen. After finally disbanding in 1999, it would be three years before anyone would hear anything from the band. In late 2002 Life Of Agony decided to do a one-time only reunion concert to take place on January, 3rd 2003. When the tickets for this concert went on sale they sold out in less then 20 minutes. Because of this huge demand for tickets Life Of Agony decided to add another show the following day, so that none of the fans would left out. Fortunately for us, the band decided to record both audio and video of the show, so that it could be released on a later date as a double CD and DVD.
On October, 14th 2003 Life Of Agony released “River Runs Again Live 2003” in 3 different forms. One as a double disk, the other as a single DVD, and last but not least as box set containing digipaks of both CDs and a Bonus DVD. It feels so good to hear a band whose best work took place on the stage release a live album. This is one of the best examples of a live album that I have ever heard. Life Of Agony provides a soft yet hard sound that will keep your ears happy for a long time. Excellent guitars and soft yet meaningful vocals will provide you nothing but joy. River Runs Again Live 2003 is a wonderful piece of art that will surly go down as one of the greatest live CDs of 2003. This album is worth every penny that it will cost you to buy so please go out, and support the band by buying it.
