FROM BEYOND „Thrashin' Machine”

FROM BEYOND „Thrashin' Machine” - okładka

From Beyond, THRASHIN' MACHINE, bang it up hard and fast with thrash played the way it once was in the past with this 5 song, 20 minute and 11 second EP. With Tom Angelripper styled vocals and a guitarist who resembles Schmier of Destruction, THRASHIN' MACHINE is bound to wreck some necks. The riffs are terrible fast and very technical while the drumming and remainder of the instrumentation is fairly solid as well. From Beyond also show some diversity with the closing instrumental 'Epilogue', which is a Spanish styled acoustic number. This instrumental is short, however, and it doesn't soften the all- out thrash assault found on the previous four tracks.
I have no idea of the members who are actually in From Beyond, as the press release didn't mention any names, but the group features two men from the extinct Moribund, whoever they might be. This is Belgium metal that ranks with the type of thrash that was once the highlight of Noise Records, and THRASHIN' MACHINE would've fit perfectly on the label in the mid-80s. Noise Records should return to signing more thrash outfits, but in the meantime Painkiller Records has made a solid acquisition. This disc will see an April 7th, 2003 release date.
