Draconian is a band that is part of metal scene since 1994 but only now, nearly 10 years later, they managed to release their debut album through Napalm records. Following the tradition of this label's bands they are into doom/death metal with some gothic influences. Their major influence seems to be My Dying Bride but they will also remind you bands like Tristania for example. The good thing in Draconian is that their music has something to give to the listener and their experience in the scene must have helped them a lot on this. So, if you like My Dying Bride and doom/death metal in general you should listen “Where Lovers Mourn”. It may not impress you but I don't think you will not like it. They use male and female vocals and the keyboards they have are hopefully used the right way which means they accompany music and not take the first role. I like this release and I wait for their next one to be even better.
