Some months ago we had reviewed their “Promo 2001” and we had the confidence that Axenstar could step forward and sign to a label. Now, I have in front of me their debut album from SPV recs. These Swedish guys play power/heavy metal in the vein of Stratovarious. Many keyboards and catchy riffs that will satisfy power metal fans. My only objection is that in an album there should be a variety of sounds because most songs are of the same style and they need to access a more personal sound because they really sound like Stratovarious. But it is only their debut so we are waiting for their next move.
