IGNEA was created at Kiev in 2015 on the basis of band – PARALLAX, which existed between 2011 and 2015 and released just one single and one EP . “The Sign of Faith” is the first releasion of Ukrainians under the name of IGNEA. The cover-art is interestingly made in the style of modern art. The picture refers to the events of the 11th of September in the memorable year, when the followers of the “loving and merciful God” hit in the World Trade Center.

The music on the album is very ambitious, multiform and it combines harmoniously different elements. This is a dynamic, sharp Metal, but for a typical rock instruments is often accompanied by the violins (western and oriental), the string instruments from the East and West, the ethnic drums, and even the entire symphony orchestra. Metal + the traditional instruments + the symphony + Asian rhythms – and these all create a consistent musical message, everything fits together!

The singer sings both purely as well as harshly. Both vocal’s types are skilfully created, in a varied way. Especially in the style of “harsh” is difficult. The guitarist and keyboard player have mastered their instruments, they play variously, and doing an interesting solos is not a problem for them. The drummer and bass player are also well versed in their work. You should pay attention to the track “Alga”, with a catchy text related to the current events in Ukraine. There were used the orchestra.

The individual tracts are dynamic and professionally composed, full of dramaturgy and impetus. The last track is the cover of ULTRA SHERIFF. I did not know the trio before, which plays electronic techno-disco. From a monotonous Dance, IGNEA made a great Metal piece – this can be considered a kind of joke.

For me “The Sign of Faith” is a attention-grabbing record. IGNEA set high standards and implemented them. In my opinion, the band has a chance to achieve world star status. Will this happen? Time will tell.
