Danish scene this time shows us a band coming from the capital, Copenhagen – FREDDY AND THE PHANTOMS. At present I will describe their third album “Times Of Division”, released in January of 2015. At the entry I will mention a few words in the form of trivia about the band. The Danish band played more than 85 concerts in 2014 and they write about themselves that they are ready to conquer the European music scene. They also supported, among others, bands like THE EAGLES and RICK SPRINGFIELD. They define themselves that they play blues-rock and I fully agree with this definition.

The blues-rock band perfectly maintains the atmosphere and character essential for such kind of music. Surely it is not playing in style the typical of black Blues, according to me it is a lyrical, strong Blues. You will find there the good guitars – tuneful as well as distorted. An important element that enriches their sound tracks of the album are the Hammond organ, which by their sounds create suitable climate. The rarity are the distorted parties of bass, which you can hear here. The five-members of line-up sound really professional, and my imagination tells me that they are perfect on the shows, because these rhythms are perfect to rock the crowds. The proof of these is number of shows played by the band in 2014. The singings are bluesy but clean and tuneful as well as catchy. It makes the listeners will to nod heads in time to the music. In my case it was, I was surrended by rhythms and I did not even notice when I nodded my head in time with the music, I must also admit that bluesy playing is very pleasant for me.

I will mention about the ballad, which is a solace and also is a nice touch that caresses the ear of listener, and it is thanks to the musical ideas of the creators of the album. They managed me to convince and they did not exaggerated to claiming that they are ready to conquer Europe. They will find fans of their playing everywhere…
