To description of this disc I asked my neighbour. She better knows Rock climates. And therefore the majority of deliberations comes from her mind… “These Safe Homes” is debut album of American quartet which connects many Rock elements, as early as from classic Rock, across Progressive Rock from 70 years, till Post Rock and psychedelic accents.

“When I listen this disc I have impression that I am in studio with the band. Somewhere near them. I have the same impression when I listen THE WHITEST BOY ALIVE. I like this band, so I think, that I will also like this disc. Namely not necessarily. The construction of songs are base on the same key. Therefore the arrangements are monotonous and foreseeable. After 3 tracks I have almost 100 % certainty, that they will knock stronger after gentle fragment, and the acceleration will happen after slow pace. The ending of disc confirms me in this conviction. Unfortunately. Although – I confess I listen this music with pleasure but I doubt that the disc is suitable to continuous listening? I dare doubt.”

These were words of Maggy about COMMON SWIFT. I would add the similarity to THE BEATLES yet, or the influences of classic music, although these are my associations. COMMON SWIFT is clearly inspired by Rock from 70 years and by musical patents from that decade. Here is a lot of gentle serves (sometimes simple and other time more masterly) interlaced by sharper hits, twisted solos and analogue psychedelic keyboards. And additionally the calm singing is mixed with these pretty complex instrumental arrangements, however the singing is very melancholic. Well, the music is pleasant and sometimes is very spatial and romantic.
