SG Metal is an Italian label dealing with bands performing extreme variations of death metal. In 2007 its management invited five Italian bands from different fields of death metal to record one album. And that is how Extreme Metal Inside was brought to life, a project consisting of ten ultimate death compositions from the most disgusting entrails of Italy. You can nearly smell the deaths breathe
The concept was quite simple: find a few death metal bands who would perform two tracks for the general album. Those bands are: AGABUS, ANTAGONISM, CLINICAMENTE MORTI, NECROFILI and RESURRECTURIS. Musicians do not represent totally different approaches to death metal but their ideas and concepts differ one from another. Therefore the general concept of the album producers has been fulfilled – the material is varied. The groups represent different approaches towards music; AGABUS makes it more accessible and melodic, with cool solos and extremely fleshy elements. Death metal according to ANTAGONISM is a sheer butchery smiting and smashing everything in its way, it is much more brutal than the rest of the compositions on this album. CLINICAMENTE MORTI also contribute to the primitive brainless hammering and together with ANTAGONISM create the impression of underground concept album. NECROFILI (together with AGABUS) are the most mature musicians and it is audible from the beginning of Fleashweak. The composition is varied, supported by various pace and timing, exchanging motifs and ideas, plus a dose of death hoarse growl. The beauty and the beast in one. RESURRECTURIS sound quite old-school and that is their main strength. Moreover their music contains bits of thrash metal which make it even more interesting. Therefore there is a smiting variety of ideas enclosed in this disc.
Although it is not enough to make it the release of the decade. The compositions are varied but it is not the discovery of America. A lot of death bands play similar and even better music. But it is important that those Italian groups had a chance to compete and bring their slaughter to the masses. Thanks to SG Metal the public has now another short but powerful release, containing death metal from the extremes.
