Cool songs: I Only Give a Shit…, The Final Battle, Stealing from the Dealer

This Scottish band is a real joke! They play an aggressive and powerful pulp, not for everyone, because there may occur some problems with digesting the content, but the themes of their lyrics are killers: comedy lyrics, alcohol, drugs… and battles? No way! But to the point… theme is theme, but the music, well… it is pretty good.

An explosion of power – in these words I could describe the album from MOTH. From the very beginning, sheer and brutal power attacks the listener and does not give him a chance to take a deeper breath in order to calm down. Heavy and fleshy sound seems to be nothing original, but MOTH have got that ‘thing’ which makes their music sound and be cool . Heavy, thrashy, death and even pseudo-blues elements enrich this album, by making it a kind of extreme mixture – a heavy and aggressive one, of dooming concept. And enough of that praising, because enough, is… enough. Constant listening to this album will cause a serious brain damage, so you will begin to repeat your actions, over and over again. And that is the main weakness of this CD… predictability and monotony in ideas. ‘I Only Give a Shit…’ and ‘The Final Battle’ save it, because they really differ from the rest and simply kick ass.

This release is a powerful battery, it could be a power plant providing energy for a small country. And who cares about no variety! Energy is energy, we need power and we deserve something more than that 230V which are in our sockets.
