Cool songs: Mankind’s Last Cleansing, Hell Incarnated

The history of TME started in 2002 when Mattias and Benny had some conversations about starting their own thrash metal band. They had some early adventures, like playing in a brutal death metal band in the 80’s. Later on, Andreas joined the group, a guy who played bass guitar in another death metal band, involved in symphonic productions of SEASONS OF STORM. The band started first rehearsals in 2004 and they decided, that they sound really good in 2005. And in 2006 they entered the studio to record ‘Worlds Collide’.

And ‘Worlds Collide’ is a nice death metal compilation with some melodic-like elements and fills. This does not qualify the band in the same shelf as CHILDREN OF BODOM and also pushes them a little bit higher than other death bands. The technicalities are at a high level: the guitars and drums co-operate smoothly, the riffs are fast and very powerful, everything reinforced by a medium-pitched voice of Andreas. Everything sounds quite nice, but… there is one but. The poor content of this album prevents it from hitting a jackpot jamming our trainers. The music is good, the performance also, but it seems that TME ran out of ideas after the recording of the first track. And the further songs are just in some way, more or less, copies of the same idea, with some slight variations, which fortunately carry the burden and manage to make this album less boring and predictable.

‘Worlds Collide’ is a good album, but could be better, if two or three more ideas were involved in the creation process. Thus, only average mark is appropriate, because repeating oneself is something unacceptable, especially on the first album.
