Slow melodic dark metal can best describe France's own Mourning Dawn who unleash their self entitled full length. Ominous imagery draws the listener to new elevations of hellish desires tormenting the soul into weakness with tracks of Innocence Leaves, From The Torrent and The Fountain. Vocalist Laurent growls a tad bit to much leaving nothing to be desired for but, picking up the tab of interest is the rest of the group giving that right hades inspired creation. Mourning Dawn does not do much musically besides playing the same old dark stuff that such bands of Nocte Obducta and Lunar Aurora do well. So beware listeners this CD does not cut much but maybe the cheese!
