I got the good chance to interview Dan (Daniel Campos/guitarist) my friend from this great and promising band, and here I am reviweing their first album, “Equilibrium”

Assemblent is a Portuguese Melodic Death and Doomdeath band………I can hear you now! And no! They have nothing to do with Moonspell. They are friend of Moonspell, yes, as well as a main influence on Assemblent…..but this is not “Moonspell-like” band or even a copy cat.

First, I would like to salute Daniel Campos….when I talk about this guy, I feel like I talk about Niklas Sundin from Dark Tranquillity. I don't know why, but he reminds me with him…..may be since he handles most of things about his band, he is the lead guitarist, and he is a pretty promising and talented…I don't know!!!

“Grammaton Cleric” got my attention coz it's a totally different, is a simple story of a new arm of law after the 3rd world world broke out at our time. Simply I guess the aim behind this story is to blame man for numbing himself and that there might be an “outsider” hopefor whatever we lost, and also that we can't get it back although it's the simplest thing inside of us.

There is no freaking way I could pass “Silent cry” without listening to it thousands times. Here is the surprise………….guys………Fernando Ribeiro of Moonspell sang this song!!! My head was spinning around listening to Fernando (Since he is one my favorite vocalist). I couldn't believe it. Fernando is singing with the guys……and he fits them right!!!!! The song is brilliant! You should listen to it!!!

Simply this album is pretty amazing, the more I listen to different tracks the more I realize how amazing this band are and will be. They have a pretty bright future.

Wonder! What else does this land hide from us? First Moonspell then Assemblent! Well…you and I will never know….we have to wait and see!
