Faves: The Courage to love somebody, Falling back to then

Yeah, the 80´s are alive!! 🙂 I feel like getting back! Even I can talk about that with my 22 years. My parents listened to that kind of music often!  AOR at its best! I knew that I know that voice from anywhere: Jim Peterik in Survivor.

And that is similar music. I didn´t like the selftitled Pride of Lions debut and album No. 3 “The destiny stone” is not much better than it. Probably only I am thinking like that.
But for the real AOR fan that CD must be a treasure! With two singers this band is rich. But I have a lot of work in making a difference between the voice of Jim Peterik and the 26 year old Toby Hitchcock. The clear voices bring the little kick to the songs.

Creepy voices and melodies you can find in the two ballads called „Back to Camelot“ and „Light from a distant shore“. „Man behind the mask“ reminds on Toto´s „Hold the line“.

This is in any case an album that opens his doors after a few listening sessions. At least the first 6 songs. Denn half of the songs sound very similar to each other.

„The gift of song“ does a full round and if you clicked the repeat on your CD player a very cool song starts (again): „The courage to love somebody“.

The structure of the songs are very simple and you can foresee them. Just “Falling back to then” is a different song with a combination of rock and relax elements. The whole CD is “happy rock” for me. That doesn´t have to be bad. But if you are in a bad mood, you could throw the CD player out of the window… 🙂
Totally: Not very well shouted, lion, as I thought.
But: I can make a difference between the two singers now 🙂

note: 6/10
