Again a project, I thought. But actually I don´t care about that, if something great is the output. And this selftitled opus of the newcomer in Zillion definitely is a great output. Well, the band members themselves are actually no newcomer. They have been in metal business for a long time now. And exactly that is, what you can hear, when you listen to that CD: Singer, keyboardist and guitarist Sandro Giampietro (popular through Supared and Michael Kiske and he even was Helge Schneider guitarist – help!!!) has got a super-clear voice which fits great to the songs! Sure that the main songwriter knows, what fits best. The plate was produced, mixed and mastered by Sandro as well, in the German Auetalstudios. In combination with Grave Diggers´ Jens Becker (Sandro´s cousin at the same time) on bass guitar and virtuose Mike Terrana (Rage, Axel Rudi Pell) on drums, nothing can go wrong. The trio offers with their 11 songs real hard rock, melodic rock respectively to the listener.

Details: With “You and me”, “Dirty little secret” and “Kryptonite” we have such splendours of songs. Furthermore the three have heavy sounding products for us: “The smile” (listen to that!!) and “Take it away”. A solemn ballad is what they have on the album as well: “Day and night”. The goodbye song (which reminds me sometimes of Pink Cream 69) hopefully is not a real “goodbye”. And that´s why I hope to hear from Zillion more very soon…
To metalheads, who love power metal like me, for example, this CD is good to listen just for the background! But hard rock fans might be enthusiastic!
