LUX OCCULTA „My Guardian Anger”

LUX OCCULTA „My Guardian Anger” - okładka

I can't say that I've waited for this album all year long with a calendar in my hand. Why? It's simple, LUX OCCULTA somehow never drew my attention. But when I listened to their material I changed my mind about them.
Beginning with the first track. Marching guitar rhythms froze my mind. I have to admit that it's a solid piece of work. When listening to it you are thirsty for more. “Kiss My Sword” lets you into Eden of lost souls leaving nothingness in the sky. Excellent speed-ups combined with Jaroslaw's awesome vocals that he has a great control of. “The Opening Of Eleventh Sephirah” starts with nicely composed female vocals, keyboards. The drummer plays really solid and puts his heart into it. “Node Sophia” also has an interesting beginning. Good, ear catching guitar passages which are the albums big plus. The sixth track is “Cube”, a one minute dark piece. “Library On Fire” strengthened my opinion that LUX OCCULTA belongs to the extra class of Polish metal scene. The beginning of the last track right away reminded me of a master in keyboard instrumental music, Jean Michel Jarre. The cover of the album perfectly reflects the music on the album. I have to say that after “My Guardian Anger” LUX OCCULTA sits next to Zeus (VADER) on Mt. Olympus.
