Duration: 54:00 minutes (12 tracks)

Country: Mongolia

Wulijimuren is a popular personality in Mongolia. The Instrumental Rock artist is known for his involvement in both Music and Television Series, hosting two of the major Mongolian shows,  Sambariin Sonin and Nadd Yarikh Yom Bain. Apart from that, his time in China was well spent after being involved in a lot of Bands ranging from Shiin Ordos to Tengger Cavalry. A man with this much expertise is bound to form a solo project. After shifting to U.S he began writing songs himself and the product of which was released last year. A much awaited moment on his career, Wulijimuren released the full length, Sun of UTC+8 in this month.

Sun of UTC+8 showcases Wulijimuren’s proficiency in guitar playing and songwriting. Being in a solo project and a band is different and it is the solo project which allows the musician to open up his creativity without asking anyone’s consent. This album is a proof of it and it delves deeper into the creativity and songwriting skills of Wulijimuren. He takes his music seriously and he believes that it is his guitar that write his destiny.

“There were 5 million Mongolians in China, but they call us minorities. So later on, they are getting more and more, we are getting less and less. Land, culture, energy, hope…I came to New York just to find a way! I hope that road will change us, our children do not lose confidence. Our geniuses do not drink alcohol every day! I believe…!

The guitar is my diary. In fact, music is making me and the guitar is playing me, thanks to the god of music!” – Wulijimuren

A man with this much love for guitar playing it is impossible for him to write bland music. Well, flaunting a setlist of 12 tracks with Old school/Modern Rock blend written all over it, the release is indeed a surprising one(in a good way, ofc). The album is nothing but his life diary which narrates his life incidents including the one which I like the most, Sun of timezone 8 which narrates the story of him buying an expensive guitar to play for his daughter.

He is influenced by some of the great guitarists including Steve Vai, Eric Clapton and Gary Moore. Apart guitar, Wulijimuren plays piano in an addictive fashion and it well traces the guitar tone. Overall, what Wulijimuren brings is the delicious palate of Old school instrumental Rock played in a modern fashion or as many call it, the “Pop Rock”. Refreshing tones, beautiful riffs and a brilliant concept. Can’t wait to see his future releases.
