HALCYON HOPE to release new album via Prime Collective

It is no secret that Prime Collective was created on a foundation of love for the alternative subgenres in rock and metal, and on love for solid, catchy songwriting, and today we proudly announce our collaboration with a band with whom we share exactly those infatuations.

Halcyon Hope, from Denmark’s third-largest – yet often forgotten – town of Odense, is a constellation that has come together around the ambition to find the optimal balance between the edge of the underground and the type of contagious, melodious choruses that anyone can ‘get’. Their music draws clear inspiration from the dynamic call-and-response emo-rock of genre greats like Taking Back Sunday and Brand New, yet also from more straight up rock names like Biffy Clyro and Foo Fighters. Listening to them, you feel a clear, renewed sensation that has kinship with the vibes that energized the best sentimental underground rock songs from around the turn of the millennium.

The band has recently been finishing up their new album, “Onward To Fracture Town”, which is a release with a lot on its mind: The songs deal with the existential challenges that face you when it is time to truly grow up, and with having rock & roll dreams despite being located outside of any big cultural cities, and despite living in a time where rock, album releases and the concept of artists with something to say, are pronounced dead almost once a month.
“Onwards To Fracture Town” is mixed in Denmark by veteran Peter Lehmann and mastered by Alan Douches (Brand New, A Day To Remember, Mastodon, Fall Out Boy etc.). The album will be released on popular streaming services in October (exact date TBA.), with the first new single “Fawn” to be released on Friday, August 5th. In the meantime, the band’s expression_ can be sampled via their most recent single “Wear Me Like A Crown” (see below).

Furthermore, the band will be playing a smaller string of EU shows ahead of the album’s release, including the following dates:

August 19 – Cihelna, Aš, Czech Republic
August 20 – TBA, Germany
August 21 – TBA, Germany
