France metal music are strong and generally becoming stronger. The local scene is growing at a tremendous rate, plenty of the fantastic black metal bands, the classic and the avant-garde penetrating threads, lots of good hard core and punk crews, excellent progressive metal group Gojira and amazing death metal stuff by Svart Crown. For this multitude of bands trying to break Fallen Joy, playing sounds conventionally known as melodic death metal. Fallen Joy after recording a demo entitled “Order To Die ” in 2010, attacking us with their first longplay production called “Inner Supremacy “.

Band builds their own music based on death metal riffs, melodic guitar marches, diverse vocals and constant changes of pace and interesting solutions arrangement. Each song contains these particular elements, so there is no place for a simple blasts and aggressive vocals, the structure is quite complicated, Fallen Joy seamlessly juggle styles and pace of that development. Death metal meat mixed with melodic, heavy metal jams, thrash metal motility and dual vocals, where the lead one is more shouted and the other is brutal and deep, strictly death metal. There are also couple of lighter themes, acoustic, especially heard in the intro song, that is just such a miniature acoustic song. Production of whole is sufficiently strong, selective, cutting air just as we need and the rhythm section has got power and heavy vibration. Generally it does not fault anything, everything is as it should be in this type of metal, a lot of good riffs, melodies and even more ultra- fast solos, typical melodic death metal for fans of the genre. Fallen Joy is a mixture of In Flames, Soilwork with the proceeds of their colleagues Gojira.

“Inner Supremacy ” is sure to not disappoint fans of this type of metal music, this album is everything that is characterized by melodic death. The band on their first album came out very professional and promising, may run out of something that will make my heart bit more faster and stronger, but melodic death metal is not really my music option. Objectively is a very good and promising debut of French metallers.
