Why do the most bands with a woman on vocals sound similar? Perhaps because that most women are inspired by the famous vocalists from bands such as THE GATHERING or EVANESCENCE. But THE SHIVER went further with their singer, who sometimes creates the savage screams between the pure singing… THE SHIVER started its action in 2005, when Federica decided to unite the forces with Francesco. Unfortunately, I had opportunity to listen their latest album “A New Horizon” only… So, the clean vocal of Federica almost has all the characteristics of Gothic Rock (together with the keyboards's passages). And the guitars' themes are so sharp and dynamic that they play in the regions of Hardcore…

Here is generally hard and vigorously with a big dose of darkly-melancholic melodies complemented by the electronic samples, which significantly expand the fan of proposals THE SHIVER. The Gothic Metal-Rock licks and the Hardcore's hits as well as the electronic climatic insertions create the very dynamic music together with the nostalgic ballad accents (which are really a lot here).

THE SHIVER presents many interesting ideas at “A New Horizon”, in which there is an interesting fusion of powerful hits with gentleness… Definitely this is a new horizon.
