I read recently – the wave of Hardcore floods us. And I think that is the truth, because many bands take inspirations from this genre. Obviously, Hardcore also passed the process of evolution like the majority of genres of Rock music. NIGHTWARD is the representative of this scene. Moreover this is the next Italian band from label Alkemist Fanatix Europe. The band has existed from 1997 year however it does not belong to fertile. “Adrenaline 12” is their first album after two small releases. Despite of all, the evolution is audible in their music. Although Hardcore still is Hardcore and this music still gives us its energy as well as dynamics. However in this case – the music is enriched by elements of melancholy melody…
And so, the lowered tuning guitars as well as the solo expressions and the specific guitar features are audible in these arrangements. Moreover NIGHTWARD presents the furious screams and the heavy riffs as well as the strong hits of drums with melancholy subjects – with the clean singing (sometimes tearful), the keys and the samples which give very modern dimension for the music. Sometimes some phrases approach nearer in side of melodious Metal playing – so characteristic for Scandinavian school of Melodic Death Metal. Additionally the female vocal accents also appeared in the album. The whole is sharp and heavy as well as melodious and inspired by the strong load of emotions.
NIGHTWARD proved that present Hardcore is not only the emotional, simple, fast and heavy playing but in the case of band – Hardcore also is the interesting complex music.
