And this time – how this always is in case of Canadian label Unicorn Digital – the label let went Canadian band from under own wings. The band of course creates the wide comprehended Progressive Music.

VECTEUR K gave first album for the world. The music characterizing “La Peur du Desert” – to the most generally say – is very romantic and pretty variable thematically. It portrays many arrangements, where motives of many musical species appear, like Hard Rock, Atmospheric Rock, Jazz and even a bit Neo-Folk and Country music. Although if I tell about Country music that these influences are somewhat different here from typical Country music of United States, because the vocals are sung in French language. And it underlines more romantic mood of the whole.

“La Peur du Desert” creates space for very climatic sounds. The clean guitars chords, passages, the guitars solos as well as climatic, gentle keys dominate in the compositions. The rhythmical section is composed well. The drums steer rhythm freely. Besides from time to time here we encounter the more energetic and heavier guitar riffs as well as the percussive accents, which bring a bit the power to this very romantic, melancholy music with gentle element of darkness and anxiety.

Music is very complex and by the way is very melodious. The many songs sound very emotionally, like the ballads. The whole makes the impression of pretty calm music with the moments of emotional riot.
