The Dutch band ” Asrai” is a gothic rock band that sounds like Evanescence, and Lacuna Coil. I admire so much the female vocals. Her voice is strong and loud.

I found it hard at the beginning to feel that this band was gothic…but starting from the forth track “Restless” I start to feel their idea. I love this track and “Touch in the dark”, pretty unique sounds.

As much as I love the vocal, I always get the feelings that she is struggling with her voice through the music. I don’t know if the music is loud for her voice, or she needed to scream. But she was doing great job.

I was familiar with their name but not their sound until I heard this album. I really admired the feelings of gothic they have, talents, voices, tones and music. But too bad they underrated.

If you are fan of gothic and a lighter sound of Evanescence, this is your band.
