Emanated from the gothic act FUNERAL, SILENTIVM around the beautiful singer Riina Rinkinen also play gothic metal. For a few years now, the Finns have belonged to the scene, but unfortunately could not call bigger attention.

Very calm, very slow, very dreamy. This is what Seducia has to offer.

SILENTIVM sent a little harbinger with Frostnight which was the single in the year 2005. This was a sign, in which direction the album will go.

Despite a new drummer (Janne Ojala), there has not changed much in the Finnish camp. Only the sound got a bit better, if you compare with the album Sufferion from 2003.

SILENTIVM opens themselves for a music that cannot be pushed into a special genre. Mainly perhapy gothic metal, but the band sounds too dreamy to belong to a special metal area. A mixture of gothic and death metal is the best description.

The warm, powerfull, dark voice of Riina is interrupted evil by Matti Aiko.

The sound mantle is a dark abyss of despairation

Seducia offers no musical surprises. The trademark of the Finns is a dark keyboard sound and a female voice that partly reminds me on FLOWING TEARS (especially Serpentized).

Blazing is the excess length of the songs that drown into nothingness…

Wonderfully dark. This album is cold and black…
