MANOWAR „Fire & Blood – 2 DVD SET”

All Hail the Return of the Metal Kings with their 2 dvd set Fire & Blood. This is part 2 of Hell on Earth part 1 with a very special extra – a full concert of the Monsters of Rock in Brazil, South America. Disc 1 – disc 1 is a continuation of the Hell of Earth part 1, but with a different twist. This disc contains behind the scenes footage of the band along with concert footage. The first installment of Hell on Earth contained more backstage footage and interview footage than this disc, where this disc highlights more of the band performing on stage. Full songs are performed with precision and full clarity. By far, no one that I have ever seen perform has ever perfected their live sound to the magnitude of MANOWAR, especially on this dvd set. The band takes you on a trek across the globe with them as if you were there yourself. Along with tracks, such as The Gods Made Heavy Metal, which features a fan getting the chance to play rythm guitar along side Karl Logan, and Master of The Wind, they perform their classic Bridge of Death in its entirety. The bonus portions include full versions of the song Thor, in Murcia, Spain along with an extra special version Courage, done entirely in French, this track alone will take your breath.

Disc 2 is something that the fans have been waiting for, for many years. A full concert in its entirety from the Monsters of Rock festival in Brazil. The disc starts with a little extra footage of the festival and preparations building up to the show. Once that is over, hang on to your hats and strap yourself in, for MANOWAR grabs you by the throat and by the balls and commences to pummel you with 13 of their heaviest and most classic tracks, ranging from the songs ManoWar all the way through the history of the band to Black Wind, Fire and Steel. The band interacts during this show with all 30,000 audience members as though they were playing for each of them individually. Attention is paid to everyone and everything. All that can be said of this show is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bonus features for this disc include, an ultimate version of the song Sign of The Hammer along with full interviews with Jeff Hair(sound), John Dawk(engineer for the band), and also Vincent Cecolini(writer for major magazines, such as Metal Edge). To top off the bonus features, the band has included live footage of the songs, Warriors of The World and House of Death from their new album Warriors of The World. For any true MANOWAR fan, this dvd's package is a must have, no ifs, no ands, and no BUTS!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 out of 10 – if I could rate higher, I would. This is a phenominal piece.
