Good songs: Nameless, Enemy

The new Fozzy album “All that remains” will be released on January 17, 2005. The fans were waiting for that album since 2002. But this time there are no cover versions, but 10 own pieces that are heavy, too.

WWE wrestling star Chris Jericho could make himself a name in the rock and metal scene with the first two albums. He could be seen on MTV and MTV 2 and he toured in Japan, Austrailia, Germany (plus a show at the Bang Your Head!!! Festival in Balingen), Canada and the US
„All that remains“ was produced by Rick Beato (Shinedown, Charlie Mars, Ingram Hill) and the following guest musicians played on the album: Gitarrist Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne), Marty Friedmann (Ex-Megadeth) und Marc Tremonti (Creed, Alter Bridge). Stuck Mojo-Gitarrist Rich Ward belongs to the FOZZY, too.

„All that remains“ starts with „Nameless“, whose rocky guitars are awesome. Chris Jericho´s vocals are very aggressive. A song later, the power was quit a bit – so you may think. But no! With full power we are heading for „Enemy“. This song is a mixture of industrial and classical heavy rock. This song also have a video clip, which was shot in November 2004.

But there is something different: song No. 3, with name “Wanderlust“. Sometimes not bad. But mostly the listener wants to wander… Screaming guitars and a catastrophe of speed changes…

The title track of that album is a bit weak and FOZZY remind me a bit on Linkin´ Park meets Ozzy Osbourne due to the vocals. „The test“ is a real test for your nerves (although the guitars are very heavy…), which lie blankly with “It´s a lie” at the very latest. Even the good solo cannot secure that. In the meantime FOZZY have done the metamorphosis to Linkin´ Park. FOZZY can pull themselves out of the trash with “Daze of the weak”. Also „The way I am“ and „Lazarus“ helped with getting more points. Because this album really has a good mix. And the instruments and the vocals are really good, too. Just not my kind of music… I am getting headache… „Born of anger“ is going to be the kick off song of the spezial way: hypnotic vocals change with barking screams and dark growls.

Totally: A mixed up album that goes through all kind of heavy metal. So, please lend an ear!
