Pica Fierce is one of the very underground bands that I was awaiting for their next release. Unfortunately, there are many bands that are formed only in order to release a demo and then they disband and also many that have nothing to offer and keep playing the same tiring things for years. No, I am not against underground. I like underground and I respect bands that do everything by their own. And I really like bands that show a great progress from one release of theirs to another. Just like Pica Fierce.
Coming from Norway, the country that taught us what is black metal, they surprise us as they are into thrash metal. Pay attention here! Not death/thrash metal like The Haunted and bands like that. Pure thrash metal with influences from the scene of Germany and especially Kreator. This is something they must pay attention to as in some parts they really sound like Kreator but in general they have a strong personal sound. “Reptile” comes in a professional cd and not a copy one and this shows the level of professionalism of the band. Moreover, it includes a video clip of the title track. Their music is fast and very technical. There are also many melodies here combined well with the brutal part of the band. The only disadvantage is that “Reptile” has only 3 songs but as the band supports they are now more than ready to record a full length album. From these 3 songs I think “Reptile” is the best one.

Keep an eye on Pica Fierce and I believe we will soon find them in a label with a debut album. Till then…bang your heads and thrash till death!!!
