MEMORIZED DREAMS „Theater of Life”

Memorized Dreams are some new kids on the block from Norway that should be watched. This being there first full length CD is a breath of fresh air for me as a reviewer. They play a style of metal ( melodic power metal ) that is quickly becoming redundant and stale in my opinion but MEMORIZED DREAMS seem to add a punch to the style that is refreshing to hear. The production is very crisp and clear with a very powerful punch that does nothing but add to the entire disc.

The tracks on this disc range from mid paced to fast paced and they are all blended with everything from great song writing to great music that includes everything from razor sharp guitar work to perfectly blended choir arrangements. The vocal style of Terje Haroy reminds me a great deal of QUEENSRYCHE to MOB RULES with a musical approach more like mob rules. There is no mistake about it every track on this disc is a rocker but by no means am I saying that this is a perfect disc. The only imperfections I can find on this disc is that there are small holes in the song structures that is to be expected with a new band on there first disc that will only be mended with time and experience. It will not take this band as long as it takes other bands to mature and get better so the only thing we as fans of great melodic power metal can do is sit back and wait to see what MEMORIZED DREAMS will come up with for a second disc I highly recommend this disc for all fans of this style of metal that wants to hear a great new band on the rise.
