I remember when Green Carnation had just released “Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness” and I did not know them. Some friends of mine were telling me all the time that it was a great album and the band is great but I was not convinced about Green Carnation. I believed that with a release of only one song which lasts almost 70 minutes the band would just copy repeat the same themes all the time and the result will be a little bit boring. When I bought this album I was amazed by the skills of the band and the talented musician who is called Tchort.

Now, with their third album Green Carnation reminded me of the path that In The Woods followed. Only clean vocals, influences by the 70’s, a unique atmosphere and the feeling that the band compose songs only for themselves. There are no words to describe this album… An overwhelming combination of psychedelic sounds with Pink Floyd touches with absolutely melancholic guitars and a wonderful voice which manage to emit hundreds of feelings to the listener. I hadn’t listened to an album like that since “A Pleasant Shade Of Grey” by Fates Warning. This is an album full of MUSIC! Not only heavy metal or rock. The production is perfect again as well as the magnificent front cover where has been used a photo of Tchort’s son. Listen to this album and you will understand… “I know you’re cold because it’s winter but I can promise you a spring…”
