When i read the name of this band, Valinor, i almost swear that was another power metal band in Middle Earth. But it is not. Valinor is a very good band from Poland that mixes a wide variety of sounds of the metal specter. To resume the sound of the band it can be described as a blend of Classic and powerful heavy metal and melodic death with the use of clean vocals and grandiloquent choirs in all the songs and black vocals in some of them. The clean vocals in this album are not the usually used; they are like a mix of Vintersorg, Enslaved, Storm, Natvidens Grat and tiamat'clouds'era types of vocals, giving a nice touch to the band. Very melodic and varied, this metal album is complemented with some cool keyboard arrangements. Very interesting band, that probably please fans of Vintersorg, Falkenbach or even Finntroll. Valinor really deserves a listening.
